Cheesy French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 8oz container of ricotta cheese
  • 6 slices thinly sliced bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 C heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbl butter

Preparation

Step 1

Place ricotta in mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy. Cut bread slices in half diagonally, spread half with ricotta to desired thickness and top with remaining slices. Place bread in single layer in shallow baking dish.

Beat eggs, cream and salt until just blended. Pour over bread and refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.

When ready to serve, heat butter in saucepan. Add bread slices to pan and cook over medium heat until browned on both sides. Serve immediately.
