Cocktail Meat Balls

This is one of my Mother's (Jeannette Costigan's) recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cornflakes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup beef bouillon (or 2 bouillon cubes in 1 cup of water)
  • Mix all ingredients together; shape into small balls about the size of walnuts. Dredge in flour and brown in shortening. Cover with your favorite barbecue sauce and simmer 20 minutes to 1/2 hour. Serve hot in chafing dish.
