Ingredients
- 1 C flour
- 1/3 C cake flour
- 1/3 C cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8-9 oz candy bars, cut in 1/2-inch dice (Milky Way, Snickers, Heath Bar)
- 1 C unsalted butter
- 5 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 5 large eggs
- 2 C sugar
- 1 Tbl vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Spray a 10 x 10 x 2-inch pan with nonstick spray. Line botton and 2 sides with foil or parchment, spray with nonstick spray.
Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate in the top of a double boiler, allow to cool slightly.
Sift flours, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, set aside. Toss candy bars with 1-1/2 tsp flour mixture and chill in freezer.
Whish eggs, sugar and vanilla together. Add melted chocolate/butter mixture. Slowly stir in dry ingredients until just combined (do not over mix). Stir in frozen candy bar pieces.
Pour batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake 35-40 minutes.
Cool brownies completely in the pan on a rack. (May be refrigerated 2 hours or until firm enough to cut.) To remove brownies from pan, use knife to loosen from edges or if using foil, lift out; if using parchment, invert on wire rack and remove parchment, then invert onto serving tray.
Use sharp knife to cut into quarters, then quarter each section
