Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 C water
  • 1 C sugar
  • 12 oz package fresh or frozen cranberries

Preparation

Step 1

Bring water and sugar to boil in medium saucepan. Add cranberries and return to boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour into bowl, cover and cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate until serving time.

For Jellied sauce--
Prepare the same, but before cooling, place a wire mesh strainer over mixing bowl. Pour sauce into strainer, mash berries with the back of a spool, scraping outside of strainer until no pulp is left. Stir and pour into serving container. Cover and cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate until serving.
