Ingredients
- 3 Tbl butter
- 1 lb cremini mushroom caps, diced
- 3 Tbl flour
- 1 C half and half
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 C sliced almonds, toasted
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 Tbl flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Heat medium skillet over medium heat, add butter and mushrooms. Saute until tender. Add flour, cook for 1-2 minutes. Stir in half and half, cook until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from heat, stir in almonds, nutmeg and parsley.
Serve immediately with crackers.
