Amish Friendship Bread Starter

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups plain flour

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl, combine wi9th wooden spoon- do not use metal.
Cover with paper plate or towel and set on counter - do not refrigerate- for 10 days.

Day 1
Do nothing

Day 2, 3 and 4
Sir with wooden spoon

Day 5
Add 1 cup plain flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk

Days 6,7, 8 and 9
Stir with wooden spoon.

Day 10
Add 1 cup plain flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Stir well.
Pour 3 cups of mixture into 3 containers (1 cup each)
Give 2 containers away and keep for to start next batch.
Use rest to make bread.
