Grilled Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp ginger juice, pressed from grated fresh ginger root
  • 3 tbsp rice wine
  • Marinade
  • 5 tbsp Korean Red Bean Paste
  • 2 tbsp Korean Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Trim the excess fat from the ribs. Slice the ribs into 2 inc length and make shallow incision in the meat, then place in a large bowl. Pour the ginger juice nad rice wine over the ribs, rubbing the seasonings into the meat with your hands. Set aside.
Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Add the marinade to the ribs and mix thoroughly, making sure the ribs are well coated. Cover the bowl and marinated the ribs for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
Heat a broiler or pan grill over medium heat and grill the marinated pork ribs for 4-6 minutes, turning often, until cooked. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
