Steak Dinner, Italian Style

After grilling flank steak, slice and serve over salad. Takes 10 minutes of prep, 40 minutes total.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 2 1/2 lbs flank steak
  • salt and freshly ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a blender combine vinegar, oil, garlic and thyme and puree until smooth. Pour the marinade over the steak, let sit at least 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper. Grill over moderately high heat until medium, roughly 8 minutes per side. Transfer to a board and let stand for 10 minutes. Slice, transfer to plates and serve.
