Jumbalya

Ingredients

  • Add ins:
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green or red pepper
  • 1 14 oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup rice
  • 1 tsp. dry basil or thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. hot pepper(2shakes)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups cook chicken or shrimp and spicy sausage.

Preparation

Step 1

Saute celery, onion and pepper in 2 tbsp. butter. Add rest of ingredients and boil in covered pan for 20 minutes.

You can add 2 cups cooked chicken or you can add shrimp and spicy sausage.

Remove bay leaf before serving.
