Chocolate Mint Brownies

Ingredients
- Cream together:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 4 beaten eggs
- Mix in:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Add:
- 1 16-oz. can Hershey's syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Mint layer:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
- 1 drop green food coloring
- Frosting:
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 6 Tbsp. butter

Step 1
Pour the batter for the brownies into a 9" x 13" pan sprayed with vegetable oil. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow the brownies to cool before spreading the mint layer on the top. Let set. Spread the frosting on top of the mint layer and let set.
Cut into 24 bars.
