Shrimp Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 8 garlic cloves – coarse chop
  • 2 tbsp Flavor God Fiesta Sweet & Tangy Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Flavor God Pink Salt & Pepper
  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup clam juice
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 cup jicama, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 2 medium avocados, chopped
  • 1 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Optional: hot sauce, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Dice onion. And all ingredients.
2. Fill a sauce pot with water. Add 1/2 the dice onion, garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon Flavor God Pink Salt & Pepper. Bring to a boil. Add shrimp, turn off heat and let sit 1 minute or until shrimp are pink and cooked through. IMMEDIATELY drain and let shrimp cool under cold water. Discard onion and garlic.
3. In a large bowl, combine 2 tbsp. Flavor God Fiesta Sweet & Tangy, 1 tsp. Flavor God S&P, tomato sauce, clam juice, lime juice and hot sauce. Mix well.
4. In another bowl, combine cooled shrimp, diced onion, jicama, cucumber, avocado and cilantro. Pour tomato dressing over shrimp and vegetable combination, toss to coat.
5. Serve cold!
