Ingredients

  • 1 lb. large lima beans
  • 1 bottle Heinz ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 T. mustard

Preparation

Step 1

1. Allow lima beans to soak overnight. Drain water and refill with clean water and salt.
2. Simmer beans until soft. Drain off most of the water--leave some.
3. Transfer to a baking dish. Add ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Blend until thoroughly mixed.
4. Top mixture with bacon and allow to bake at 350 for 1 or 2 hours. (just watch that water does not dry up)
