SUGAR-FREE ESCALLOPED APPLES

Ingredients

  • 3 large green cooking apples
  • 2 envelopes sugar-free Lemon gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup Bisquik
  • 1 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (4 TB)

Preparation

Step 1

In medium bowl combine diced apples with gelatin powder, Bisquik & apple pie spice, coating apple pieces thoroughly. Drizzle with the melted butter and coat lightly, turning pieces with rubber bowl scraper.

Turn into Pam sprayed 8 1/2" Pyrex loaf dish. Seal dish in foil, spraying dull side of foil in Pam, placing it Pam-side-down over apples. Bake at 375F 45 minutes. Remove & discard foil.

Serve apples while piping hot. Serves 4 nicely.

ESCALLOPED APPLES Using Sugar:

Prepare the recipe for regular Escalloped Apples exactly as directed above, using 2 boxes (4-serving size each) REGULAR Lemon Jell-O powder instead of the sugar-free gelatin powder.
