Savory Chex Mix

Catherine McCord from weelicious.com has a cookbook devoted to kids' lunches and snacks: "Weelicious: Lunches" (William Morrow, 2013). Here's her take on the classic Chex mix — a nice break from sugary snacks. I swapped peanuts for slivered almonds due to tree nut allergies in my family. You could also use sunflower seeds to eliminate nuts completely.

Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat Chex
- 2 cups rice Chex
- 2 cups oat “O” cereal (like Cheerios)
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Toss everything together in a large bowl. Spread out on a rimmed baking sheet and bake 30 minutes.
