The easiest poke cake in the history of poke cakes, this Turtle Poke Cake starts with a boxed cake mix that is baked then drenched in salted caramel, topped with stabilized whipped cream, and scattered with delicious bits of chocolate, caramel, toffee, and pecans! It is decadent, rich, easy, and delicious.
My kids have been dying to watch the movie “Daddy’s Home” and so we used our Walmart Family Mobile PLUS perk of a free movie on VUDU to get a new release rental and watch and stream through our Roku!
I grabbed a boxed chocolate cake mix while I was shopping at Walmart, and a big jar of salted caramel sauce. Then I made stabilized whipped cream frosting. It is so much easier to make then you would think. I used my blender and it took mere seconds. Then I just shaved some chocolate, drizzled on some extra caramel, and chopped up pecans and sprinkled on toffee! Easy as pie. But it is cake. Amazing, decadent, chocolate and caramel filled turtle poke cake!
