Pampered Chef Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups tap water (can add alittle more if needed)

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl combine flour, yeast and salt. Add cups of water, and stir until blended: dough will be shaggy and sticky. Cover bowl with plastic wrap, or loosley cover if you have a lid. Let dough rest 8-24 hours, at room temp.

Dough is ready when its surface is dotted with bubbles. Liberally flour Parchment Paper and plave dough on it: sprinkle it with a little more flour and fold it over on itself 3 or 4 times. Place parchment paper in Deep Covered Baker and place dough on top and let rise 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and bake for 30 minutes then take lid off. Bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until bread is golden brown on top. Cool on a rack.

IDEAS FOR "EXTRAS"
grated hard cheese such as Asiago, Parmesan, Romano 1/2 cup
Peeled and chopped fresh garlic 1 Tblsp
Any seasoning or rub 1-2tsp

Add these ingredients to the DRY mixture-its much easier to stir then.
