Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.

Beat butter at high speed until fluffy. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar; beat until even fluffier. Beat in peanut butter.

Beat in 1 egg. Beat in second egg along with vanilla until smooth.

In separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; pour half over batter. With a wooden spoon, mix until no streaks remain. Stir in remaining flour mixture until no streaks remain.

Scoop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls; roll into balls and place on prepared baking sheets, leaving 2-inch space between cookies. With fork dipped in flour or milk, press cookies to make crisscross pattern and flatten to 1/2-inch thickness.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until form and golden around edges and underneath. Remove from oven and transfer to rack to let cool.
