Ingredients
- 1 lb stew beef, cut in small cubes
- 1 large onion
- Salt and pepper
- 6-8 potatoes, cubed
- Pie crust
Preparation
Step 1
Cover with water - simmer meat and onion until meat is tender, 2-2 1/2 hours (I use a pressure cooker). When meat is tender, add potatoes and boil until potatoes are cooked.
Place meat and potatoes in baking dish. Add a small amount of the gravy, cover with rolled out pie crust, sealing the edges. Cut 3 slits in top.
Bake in 425° oven until nicely browned, about 25 minutes. When ready to serve, slice crust into serving size and remove. Add remaining gravy, stir well, and serve.
