- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tbsp. instant coffee granules
- 1-3/4 cups flour
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, cream 1 cup butter and 3//4 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Combine coffee granules and flour and stir into the cream mixture. Mix well. Chill dough.
Shape into 3/4 in. balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 18-20 minutes. While cookies are baking, melt 1 tbsp. butter and chocolate in pan over low heat, stirring to mix. Add 1 cup powdered sugar alternately with the milk. Beat until smooth. Frost cookies while still warm.
