Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp flour
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 cooked chicken breasts - cut into pieces
  • 1 can each of corn, diced potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter, stir in salt/pepper. Dissolve chicken bouillon cubes in the 2 c. hot water (put in microwave to dissolve quicker). Add to flour mixture and stir to blend. Add milk and simmer over medium heat until sauce is thick. Once sauce is thick, add chicken and all veggies. Continue to simmer for 15-20 minutes until heated through. Serve over fresh baked biscuits.
