Ingredients
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 T. extra virgin olive oil
- 2 T. chopped fresh basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 3/4 tsp. salt (or 1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt)

Step 1
The recipe recommends mixing all of this in a bowl and seasoning for taste.
We actually heat it on the stove top and let it simmer a bit. Then let it cool.
