Easy Microwave Mug Cake

By

You're only a minute away from satisfying that sweet (or chocolate) craving when it hits!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Angel Food cake mix (I used Betty Crocker)
  • 1 box of your favorite flavor cake mix (I used B.C. Devil's Food mix)
  • Water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the two boxes of dry cake mix* and store in an airtight canister or plastic ziptop bag.

To make the cake:

In a large mug or microwave safe dessert glass, mix together 6 tablespoons of the mix and 4 tablespoons water until well blended. (For a small serving, mix 3 T. mix with 2 T. water in a smaller cup.)

Microwave on high setting for 1 minute to 1 minute 10 seconds. (For the smaller serving, microwave 1 minute.)

Let cool on on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Serve right from the mug or remove cake by bumping the edges of the mug against your other hand to loosen then garnish with desired toppings. (Dee-lish served as shown with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, canned whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry!)

NOTE:

*Mixing the angel food cake mix with the other cake mix does lessen the flavor of the other cake mix, so for a more chocolaty flavor I added about 1/4 cup cocoa powder and 3-4 T. sugar to the bag of mixture. I haven't tried any other flavors of cake mix yet.
