Parmeson Skillet Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp. Canola Oil
  • 1 cup instant potato flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. Basil
  • 1/2 cup parmeson cheese
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 to 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar and yeaast in water and buttermilk. Add canola oil, cheese, basil, oregano, garlic, salt, and potato flakes. Add 3 cups of flour. Beat with mixer, add remmaining flour. Cover and let rise to double. 10 minutes before end of rising preheat oven to 350. Place cast iron skillet in oven. Stir batter down and put in skillet. Spread with olive oil and sprinkle with parmeson cheese.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
