Ingredients

  • Rolls:
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 cube butter
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Filling:
  • 2 T. grated orange rind
  • 1/2 c. orange juice and pulp
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter

Preparation

Step 1

Rolls: Dissolve 1 pkg. yeast in 1/4 c. water. Scald milk. Add butter and sugar and cool. Add egg and yeast mixture. Add flour and salt. Knead until smooth; roll out dough. Rise 1 to 2 hours. Spread filling on rolled out dough. Roll up like jelly roll. Cut in slices. Place in greased muffin tins. Let rise 1 hr. Bake 400 deg. for 15 minutes. Makes about 24.

Filling: Boil 10-15 mins until thickened, stirring often. Cool
