Preparation

Step 1

I made this in a Ninja cooking system as its called, this make between 3 to 4 qts when done.

Start by melting the bacon grease using med to med high heat, add diced onions and celery cook till onions are clear put about 1 teaspoon salt and pepper over the onions while cooking them, next after onions are clear add ground beef (I like to crumble it up by hand as adding)

After the beef is brown add the stock, add barley, bring to boil, reduce heat to low boil and cook about 20 minutes or so till barley is done.

While this is cooking peel the potatoes and cut into quarter then cut each quater in to pieces. After barley is ready, add potatoes cook about 15 or so minutes after potatoes are done. Check seasoning add more as needed add the Worcestershire to taste.

You can add carrots cut into pieces if you want them add before the potatoes.

Enjoy!
