Ingredients
- 3 pieces fresh ginger, each about 1/2 inch long
- 1 small white onion, thickly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups soybean oil
- Vi cup each vinegar and water,
- 1/2 cup Japanese all-purpose soy sauce,
- 1 stalk of celery, scraped and sliced
- 1 tablespoon thick tomato sauce or tomato paste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate, if desired
- Salt to taste

Step 1
Blend the mixture at medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until the onion and celery are finely minced.
Serve the dressing over a salad of crisp lettuce, radishes, finely sliced, and tomato wedges, seeded.
