Ingredients
- 1 package dry yeast
- 2 cups warm water (105-115 degrees)
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
- 4 cups self-rising flour
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve yeast in warm water; let stand 5 minutes. Combine yeast mixture, butter, and flour in a large bowl, mixing well. Stir in egg and sugar. (Mixture will be a very soft batter.) Cover and refrigerate batter overnight. Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling 2/3rds full. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 16 rolls. Batter may be stored, covered, in refrigerator up to 4 days.
