WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE

There is also a "kids" version I add to this sometimes. After teaspoon of melted chocolate into the center; then chill. This makes a "prize" hard chocolate ball in the center of this decadent dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup white baking chips
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg yolks in small bowl w/electric mixer on high speed X 3 min or until lemon colored. Gradually stir in sugar.

Heat 1 cup whipping cream in 2 qt saucepan over med heat just until hot. Gradually add half of cream into egg yolk mixture, then stir back into hot cream in saucepan over low heat X 5 min, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens (do not boil).

Stir in baking chips until melted. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hrs, stirring occ until chilled.

Beat 1 ½ cups whipping cream in chilled med bowl w/mixer on high until stiff. Fold refrigerated mixture into whipped cream. Spoon mixture into parfait or wine glasses.
