Ingredients

  • 2

    chicken bouillon cubes

  • 1

    cup boiling water

  • 1

    envelope unflavored gelatin

  • 3

    cups baked ham, well chopped

  • 1/4

    cup Grapenuts cereal

  • 1/2

    cup hot water

  • 1

    tsp onion powder

  • 1/4

    tsp pepper

  • 1/8

    tsp garlic salt

Directions

Dissolve chicken bouillon cubes in boiling water. Let it cool. In this gelatin and place over hot water till transparent in color. Transfer to blender and add baked ham, blending till smooth, with on/off speed on high. Keep meat away from blades of blender by turning off blender & scraping down sides of container with rubber scraper. Meanwhile soften Grapenuts cereal in hot water till all of the water has been absorbed by cereal cool & add to ham mixture using on/off speed again. Add onion powder, pepper, garlic salt. Store in covered container in refrigerator to be used within a week. OR freeze to be used within 6 months. Makes about 1 quart of ham spread.
