  • Margarine
  • Seasoned salt
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup A-l Steak Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Long-grain rice, cooked

Step 1

Place chicken pieces in a single layer, skin side up. Smear the skin surface of each piece in a bit of margarine and dust in season salt, baking uncovered at 375F-about 45 minutes.

Then mix together ketchup, A-l Steak Sauce and honey and spoon it evenly over each piece and bake it another 15 or 20 minutes or until the skin is as browned as you like.

Keep a little of the sauce mixture on lowest possible heat in a very small pan, to spoon over the finished chicken pieces just as you serve the pieces.

Try arranging the pieces over cooked long-grain rice, hot and steaming and spread evenly over a lovely serving platter, about 1/2inch deep on the platter. Surround the chicken pieces with small whole red skin potatoes, cooked in their jackets till tender, using just enough slightly salted water to keep potatoes submerged and simmer them gently about 40 minutes per 5-pounds of potatoes.
