Strawberry Banana Ice Cream Topping

Chunky and syrupy, strawberry and bananas add the perfect addition to your ice cream needs.

Ingredients

• 1 lb strawberries, stems taken off and diced
• 1 banana, chopped
• Heaping 1/3 cup sugar
• 1/3 cup + 3 Tbs water
• 1 Tbs lemon juice
• 2 tsp corn startch

Preparation

Step 1

In pan add your strawberries, banana, sugar, 1/3 cup + 2 Tbs water and lemon juice. Bring to boil and reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
Once reduced mix your cornstarch and 1 Tbs water together and stir into your syrup mixture and let simmer for few minutes more until mixture coats the back of a spoon.
Spoon into 2 8 oz jars and refrigerate until cooled.
Serve over your favorite ice cream.
