Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray as needed
- 3 tablespoons Estee fructose
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Estee Salt-It
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon orange fruit spread
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 egg white slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup walnuts finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons Estee any-flavor fruit spread
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease or spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
2.Mix together fructose, flour, Salt-It, and baking powder.
3. Add margarine, vanilla extract, lemon juice, orange fruit spread, and water; mix to form a soft dough.
4. Roll into 1-inch balls.
5. Roll each ball first in egg white, then in walnuts.
6. Place on cookie sheet and press thumb into center of each.
7. Bake 12 to 14 minutes; cool on wire rack.
8.When cooled, fill each thumbprint with ¼ teaspoon fruit spread.
