Ingredients
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Dash ground red pepper
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
1. In pan over low heat, melt margarine.
2. Stir in flour, salt and ground red pepper until blended. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened and smooth.
3. Stir in cheese until blended. Serve on cooked vegetables, poached eggs or poached or broiled fish. Makes 1 cup.
