- 1 pound cooked roast beef, cut against the grain Into 1-inch-thick ribbons, at room temperature
- 1/2 English cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 bunch fresh basil, stems discarded
- 2 tablespoons fruity olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
