Ingredients
- 2 Cups Corn Meal
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tbsp Chives (Fresh or Dried)
- 1 8oz Can Corn
- 1 8oz Can Creamed Corn
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 Cup Buttermilk
- 1 Pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dip® (Prepared with Buttermilk as per packaging directions.
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large mixing bowl,blend together corn meal, flour, baking powder, paprika, onion powder, chives, corn, creamed corn, egg and buttermilk until smooth. Batter will be thick.
2. In a small deep fryer, on medium-high heat setting, spoon one tablespoon batter ingredients in hot oil, and deep fry for about 4 mins, making sure they stay apart from one another while frying.
3. Carefully remove from heat, place on paper towels to drain and serve hot with buttermilk ranch dipping sauce.
