Apple Snaps

Ingredients

  • For the 40% syrup:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • For the apple snaps:
  • 2 Golden Delicious apples
  • 1/3 cup 40% syrup
  • slicer (from Japan)

Preparation

Step 1

For the 40% syrup:
1. Mix both ingredients together and bring to the boil.

For the apple snaps:
1. Peel the apple and use the slicer to cut them into slices.
2. Cut these slices 4" long and coat the apple with a 40%-sugar syrup.
3. Bake in the oven at 275ºF and then roll them up into the shape of a brandy snap.
4. Keep the snaps in a Tupperware container with silica gel until you are ready to use them.

Final Steps & Preparation:
1. Serve on a tray
