Ingredients

  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
Stir in cheese.
Cut butter using pastry blender or 2 knives until course crumbs form. Using a fork, stir milk into flour mixture until soft dough forms.
Do not over mix or over work dough. Drop dough in heaping tablespoons 1 inch apart, onto an ungreesed baking sheet.
Bake until biscuits are firm to the tough, about 15 minutes.
