Pie Crust- Foolproof

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Preparation

Step 1

With fork or pastry blender combine first 4 ingredients.
In a separate bowl beat remaining ingredients.
Combine the two mixtures with a fork until all ingredients are moistened.
With hands, mold dough into a ball.
Chill at least 15 minutes before rolling.
Makes 2 nine inch, double crust pies and one single.
