Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 slices of white bread, crusts removed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 lb ground veal
- 2 tbsp. chopped oregano
- 1/4 cup finely grated parm cheese
- sea salt and cracked black pepper
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 cup beef stock
- 2 14 oz cans chopped tomatoes
- 3 thyme sprigs

Preparation
Step 1
place the bread and milk in a bowl and let stand for 5mins, until the milk is absorbed.
place the veal, bread, oregano, parmesan, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well to combine. roll tablespoons of the mixture into meatballs.
heat a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. add the oil and meatballs and cook for 3mins, until just starting to brown.
add the stock, tomatoes, and thyme and cook for 25 mins or until sauce is thickened.
