Ingredients

  • 12 c. peeled, cored, and chopped tomatoes
  • 2-12 oz cans tomatoe paste
  • 3 c. chopped onions
  • 2 c. bottled lemon juice
  • 6 jalepenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 c. assorted peppers-chopped
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin-optional
  • 2 tbsp oregano leaves-chopped
  • 4-6 cloves garlic-finely chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Ladle hot into pint jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Boil lids and put lids and rings on jars. Then into hot water bath.
