Ingredients
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 t black pepper
- 1 lb. cubed stew beef
- 1/4 c. canola oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 4 sm. new potatoes, diced
- 8 pearl onions, peeled
- 1 glove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. red wine
- 14-1/2 oz. can dice tomatoes
- 3/4 c. beef stock
- 1 T tomato paste
- 1/2 t thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced, sauteed in butter
- 5 oz. frozen peas
Preparation
Step 1
Toss the beef in flour and pepper; brown in oil. Add all else, except the veggies, and simmer til beef is tender. Then add all veggies, except sautted mushrooms, and simmer until they are tender. Add mushrooms last.
