Ingredients

  • 1 9" unbaked deep dish pie shell
  • 6 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 lb asparagus in 1 inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 T onion
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t white pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Brush pie shell with small amount of beaten egg. Pierce bottom and sides. Bake in 450 oven for 5 minutes. Reduce oven to 375.

Cook asparagus till tender crisp. Drain and arrange asparagus and cheese in pie shell. Beat eggs and remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour into shell and bake 35 to 40 minutes. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
