Anise Drops

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. anise flavoring

Preparation

Step 1

Sift together flour and baking powder.
In liquid measuring cup put 2 eggs then add enough water to make 1/2 cup of liquid.
Put in mixing bowl with sugar and anise flavoring and beat until very thick and piles softly.
Fold in dry ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2" apart on cookie sheet.
Set cookies over night or at least 8 - 10 hours in a cool place (not refrigerator). Do not disturb.
Bake at 350 degrees for 5 - 6 minutes.
Cool completely.
