  • 3 c warm water
  • 2 Tbsp yeast(traditional)
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2/3 c skim milk powder
  • Sour dough-1 c or more (see sour dough recipe)
  • 1 c oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6-8 c all-purpose flour



Step 1

Mix water,yeast and sugar and let stand for 10 min.
Using bread making foot on electric mixer add milk powder,sour dough, eggs and oil
Add flour 1 cup at a time. When dough is fairly stiff turn out on bread board and continue kneading and adding flour until dough is smooth and shiny (about 10 min)
Cover with saran and allow to rise in a warm spot for at least 1 hour-until doubled in bulk
Turn out on bread board and punch the dough down-knead 2-3 times.
Shape dough into rolls and place in greased pans.
Cover with saran and allow to rise a second time-at least 1 hour ntil doubled in bulk
Bake 20 min at 350.
