  • 1/3 cup sesame oil
  • 20 cloves of garlic minced
  • 10 slice thinly sliced ginger
  • 2 serrano pepper thinly sliced
  • 2 lbs. skinless chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1/3 cup soy sause
  • 1/3 cup rice wine
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 cups thai basil
  • 1 cup scallion cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 servings cooked rice

Step 1

heat sesame oil in a wok until very hot
in a bowl combine soy sauce, wine, sugar and set aside
add garlic, ginger, and peppers, fry until not burn
add the chicken pieces and cook until all pieces are white in color, about 5 minutes. pour sauce over chicken, bring to a boil, turn heat down to low. cook uncovered until sauce thickens, about 30 minutes. turn heat back up add basil and scallions cook for 2 minutes. serve over rice
