Danish Apple Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 c margarine
  • 2 egg yolks with milk added to beaten yolks to make 2/3 cup - mix like pie dough
  • 1 c. crushed rice krispies or corn flakes
  • 6 apples sliced
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnaomon
  • 2 egg whites
  • Powdered sugar frosting

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg whites until stiff. Put 1/2 doug on bottom (egg yolks and milk) then crushed flakes, apples and then sugar mixture. roll rest of doug for top. Spread egg whites on top and bake. 350 - 1 hour.

Drizzle powdered sugar frosting over top.
