Nancy's Shepherd's Pie with Lamb

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb (or ground beef)
  • 1 can brown gravy or 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas, cooked
  • Mashed potatoes, warm or cold
  • Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cooked lamb with the gravy or mushroom soup. If using mushroom soup, add a little milk to thin it out a bit. Add cooked peas, and spme salt and pepperto taste.

Place in a microwave-safe casserole. Add mashed potatoes on top and heat in the microwave till piping hot and bubbling.

Drizzle butter on the mashed potatoes and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese - yes, the crap in the green can!

Place under hot broiler just till potatoes and cheese turn golden brown.
