Sausage and Broccoli Calzones

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 3 C mozzarella, grated
  • 2 C broccoli, chopped
  • olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

1.Cook 1 pound Italian sausages; slice. Shape 1 pound plain or whole-wheat pizza dough (thawed according to package directions) into four 8-inch rounds.
2.Dividing evenly, top half of each round with the sausage, 3 cups grated mozzarella, and 2 cups chopped broccoli; fold over the dough and seal. Place on an oiled baking sheet; brush with olive oil.
3.Bake at 425° F until golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
