Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour two 8 or 9-inch round pans, or one 13 x 9 pan.
In large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until well blended. Add remaining ingredients. Beat on low for 1 minute. Beat on high for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 30 - 35 minutes if using round pans, and 40 - 45 minutes for 13 x 9 pan.
