Ingredients
- 2 c all purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 c whipping cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp water
- sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first 4 ingredients. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until crumbly. Whisk together cream, egg and vanilla. Add to flour mixture, stirring until ingredients are moist.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and pat to 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter and place on cookie sheets. Whisk egg white and water, brush tops and sprinkle withe sugar. Bake 425* for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
